Friday I woke up and was nervous, knowing

I had the Sleepy Hollow press room between

4:00-5:00 pm.  Of course I had a bunch of

stuff I wanted to ask, a list of questions from

fans and it all kind of swirled in my brain

throughout the day.  Luckily I was so busy

prior to the press room, I didn't have time

to freak out or be nervous. The Originals press room ran late, so I gathered my things and quickly made my way down the hall, into the Sleepy Hollow press room.

There were probably 10 outlets with video and cameras lined up on the backdrop area on the left side of the room and then there were 3 roundtables.  I was at one of the roundtables with about 7 other journalists, I'd say there were at least 30 present.  When I saw the cast enter, my heart skipped a beat and the nerves kicked in overdrive! Tom is very tall, yes those blue eyes stand out ladies; Nikki is tiny, but was wearing the most awesome heels!  I didn't even recognize Katia right away because she has shorter, blonde hair and I expected to see her with the flowing red locks we all know.  Lyndie looked beautiful and was soooo nice!  Of course Orlando was his awesome self, cracking jokes whenever the opportunity arose.  John Noble was very sweet, laid back and you can tell he's been there, done that ie: press rooms, before.  He's very attentive when you speak to him and soft spoken, but thoughtful in his answers.

It was incredible to be in the same room as the Executive Producers- Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Mark Goffman and Heather Kadin.  While they were careful not to give us any real S2 spoilers, they were very approachable and you can tell they're excited about the new season.  When Alex sat down at my table, he saw my PaleyFest program and Emmy Nomination consideration DVD and wanted to know what it was.  I showed it to him and said I was hoping they'd all sign it later.  Alex was like sure! No problem! It's funny because these guys have created such popular, thrilling shows and movies, but it seemed like they were taken aback that I'd want them to sign a few things.  Very cool!

Interestingly, when Tom sat down my mind went blank for a moment!  I was saying in my head, "OMG! Tom is sitting across from me. He's so hot! Look at those baby blues! I can't believe I'm in front of him, OMG!"  But outwardly I tried to remain calm and professional.  It was a little hard though! LOL  You will see in the videos that I asked quite a few questions because it seemed like very few of the journalists actually watch Sleepy Hollow.  To tell you the truth, I was in automode and didn't really recall the exact conversations until I watched the video!  I was so in the moment and it was an honor to have the priviledge of chatting with them.  It is something I will cherish and never forget!  Interestingly, I told Mark Goffman I was the #1 Sleep Hollow Fan & did a trivia video w/THR and I think it was his assistant said, "Oh, that's great! Do you win anything?"  I said not really, but it's a cool thing.  She asked if I wanted her to send me something and I was like YES PLEASE!  She took my card!  I was soooo touched that she would even ask that.

After the press room, I didn't think I'd make the panel because it was on the far end of the convention center and I was at the Hilton across the street.  I wasn't even sure where the room actually was, but I trekked over there as fast as I could.  After asking at least 4 Comic Con security people, I found the room and made it just as they were allowing fans inside!  I was able to get a seat about 5 rows back, with a view of the panel from the left side of the room.  The atmosphere was electric as they it all began with a promo, with a few new scenes cut in.  Then they introduced the cast and Executive Producers to SLEEPYHEADS, to a thunderous roar! The panel was really fun and we did get to see a clip from S2, which is EVERYTHING us SleepyHeads love about the show- funny, suspenseful, scary...I can't wait for everyone to see it!  (I'll try to get the link to post here.)  Not only was the cast/producers there, but all the Sleepy Writers were there as well, cheering our Sleepy Team on!  I just love our writers soooo much! They rock!

It has been such an amazing experience thus far, and I feel very lucky to have the opportunity to know the cast and producers, writers, all the fans and I hope that you guys can live my experience a little bit through my radio shows, spreecasts and on social media.  I wish you could all be here with me!  It's such an incredible feeling.

Saturday- July 26, 2014: Oculus Rift Experience Cast Event

So all the press was lined up, waiting for the arrival of the cast and I was able to get a spot right up front.  When the cast showed up, of course photos were taken, etc... but then the actors stopped to chat w/the press.  Katia came right over and I asked if we'd be seeing more of the evil witches vs good witches.  She said there will be more magic in S2.  She was awesome!  Then as Tom made his way over to us, he pointed at me and said "Good to see you"....he remembered me from the press room!  Then he stood right in front of me.  Now I am only 4'8", so he was towering over me and with the glare of the sun, I couldn't tell if I had him on my video as we chatted a little bit more!  I was sweating bullets because it's like 90 degrees out and all that kept running through my mind was that I'm sweating, in front of Tom!  LOL  Anyway, he was great as always and although I didn't get a selfie, I did get one good shot of him on my phone.  Such a cool guy!  After that, I left to head to my next set of interviews, but it was a fun experience I'll never forget!

Sunday- July 27, 2014

So I finally had time to do the Oculus Rift and while waiting in line, I spoke to a couple behind me.  The guy got a selfie with Tom Mison, so of course I was jealous!  But the best story of the entire weekend- this is what he told me.  Apparently after the panel this guy sort of followed Tom out of the room.  He saw a fan stop Tom and tell him his wife was too ill to get to SDCC and wondered if he would call her.  Tom stepped behind a curtain, called the guy's wife and chatted with her for 5 minutes!  That's how incredibly sweet he is.  Needless to say, after hearing this, I love Tom even more! Such a sweetheart.

The Oculus was really fun and a little creepy!  They put you in front of a green screen and ask you to do your best 'dead face'.  Next you sit with headgear and earphones that catapults you into a 3D virtual reality where Ichabod tries to lead you out of the woods before Headless shows up.  The end result? What do you think?
